From The Dark Of The Woods

How hurt is one star’s worth anyway?
Nate returns later today, so I can go back to making the site work and stop having to come up with clever, funny stuff to say – fortunately for everyone.

I see eyes in the second pan
So why is the Wanderer’s Mom in the woods and why is she pissed? Also, it appears this is not an uncommon result as its happened at least once before.
Mindsword: I believe Wander’s mom is the Witch. A partial answer but it leads to some pretty obvious conclusions
If it doesn’t already have a name I dub thee ‘The Forest of Thud.’
I don’t think you realized what you’ve done here, artist.
There is incredible symmetry between Wander and Ellie here.
First three panes all have Ellie but no Wander; Last three panes are opposite.
First pane is a close-up of Ellie falling (face down, eyes closed)
Second pane she’s still on the ground (face up, eyes open), camera backing up
Third pane she’s on her feet (right hand down, left up; right leg up, left down)
First Wander pane is a close-up and he’s falling (face up, eyes closed)
Second he’s still on the ground (face down, eyes open), camera backing up
Third he’s stable (right hand up, left down; right leg down, left up)
I could keep going, but I think I’ve made this clear.
Artist, please respond to this if I am incorrect that this was not on purpose.
No, I didn’t do that on purpose. I was just going for progression of actions with the characters: Ellie haven fallen to Ellie getting up to Ellie going into hiding.
Same with Wander: Wander getting knocked back, Wander going to get up, Wander getting up to defend.
The only thing that was actually on purpose was showing what Ellie was doing before moving on to the new subject.
Thank you.
